This 60-minute lesson introduces students to the four primary business ownership models in Canada: sole proprietorship, partnership, business corporation, and co-operative corporation. Through a teacher-led slideshow with accompanying delivery notes, students will explore the key characteristics associated with each business model and compare how they differ in structure, ownership, and decision-making. Following the lesson, students will apply their learning by working independently or in small groups to complete a hands-on activity that reinforces the concepts covered and encourages critical thinking about the suitability of different business models in various business scenarios.
