CREATE A CO-OP CHALLENGE OFFERS $5000 PRIZE
June 1, 2012 deadline approching quickly in the Create-A-Co-op Challenge!
To celebrate IYC 2012 and the launch of the All 4 Each high school curriculum project, On Co-op has created a Dragon’s Den–type "Create a Co-op" challenge, open to anyone in Canada 25 years of age and younger. This challenge is to raise awareness in young people about our amazing co-operative sector.
Create a fun video to tell us what kind of co-op you’d like to start. The June 1st deadline for submitting your co-op business idea is fast approaching, but there’s still time to enter and win some serious cash! You don’t have to be a member of a co-op or credit union to take part, and you don’t actually have to start a co-op – just describe it.
The video pitches should be 2 minutes in length, and uploaded to www.s.coop/all4eachfacebook. Lots of videos have already been posted – check them out!
“Like” the page, submit your pitch, and then tell everyone you know to vote for your video! The top 4 vote getters will win $1,000, and a chance at another $4,000 for the grand prize! Contact ksmith@ontario.coop for more information! You are not obliged or required to create a co-op with the prize money you win, but wouldn’t it be great if you did?!
