Wish List

On Co-op's Wish List provides a succinct outline of the co-op sector's priorities for positive change in future co-op regulation.

At the request of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, On Co-op and its sector partners developed a list of thirteen low-cost and manageable priorities that, when implemented, would strengthen not only the co-operative sector, but also foster local economic development and, most importantly, contribute to the creation and retention of jobs, resulting in more prosperous and stable communities across Ontario.

This list was then condensed to create a Wish List outlining the 6 primary steps required, their costs and their beneficial outcomes. View the Wish List from the 'Related Documents' link at right. We have already begun the work to establish these partnerships, but we need your support to move them towards actual implementation.

Co-operators are encourage to become familiar with the Wish List; it will give you an idea of what we are asking for, and allow our communications to government to be more unified in the future. Please promote it whenever possible -  you never know when you might meet up with an MPP, election candidate or a public policy maker!

For your further information, a longer Wish List Brief including the original 13 points is also provided.
