ON CO-OP RESOURCES AND ARCHIVES
Information on co-op development, the various co-op sectors, and the socio-economic impact of co-operatives in Ontario are available through On Co-op, in print in electronic format.
Co-operative resources are categorized as to On Co-op's four strategic areas: Government Relations, Co-operative Development, Lifelong Co-operative Learning, and Communications and Member Relations. There is also a separate area for co-op business-related material.
We encourage our members, others in the co-op sector and the general public to use our Resource Library, and to contribute to the information, photos and historical pieces in our Archives.

Barbara Skipper contacted On Co-op's Research Library - but not to borrow any reading material. Barbara has graciously loaned On Co-op the use of her mother's historical records. Her mother, Mary Birdell Hind, was a provincial president of the United Farm Women of Ontario during the Depression. Inducted into the Kent County Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1998, Birdell Hind was active in the co-operative movement, and instrumental in the organization of the United Farm Young People in the county. The 1929-1936 records are organized by date into data boxes, and include correspondence with Agnes Macphail, Canada's first female Member of Parliament.
On Co-op is privileged to have this opportunity to peruse these fascinating documents.
