Get Involved
In Ontario, there are 1,300 co-operatives with 15,500 employees and a combined membership of well over one million. While co-ops work and provide service in a vast array of sectors, we are strongest when we work together and foster the sixth International Principle of Co-operation: co-operation among co-ops. On Co-op imagines a co-operative sector in Ontario where everyone works together to make this province a supportive and prosperous environment for co-ops.
There are any number of ways to get involved, each allowing you to contribute your own unique skills, resources and personality. Follow the links below to find out how you can pitch in!
BECOME A SPONSOR
On Co-op works to promote and unite the co-op sector in Ontario through events like the annual Co-op Conference and Gala, but membership dues alone aren't enough to make these events truly great. Contact us to help out—and promote your compan—by sponsoring one of On Co-op's events!
JOIN A COMMITTEE
On Co-op is guided by its membership, and committees are the avenue through which we hear your voice. Volunteer for one of On Co-op's committees to make your opinions heard!
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
Running great events requires a lot of great people. Want to be part of one of our events? Contact us and volunteer!
BECOME A FACILITATOR
The Co-operative Young Leaders program succeeds because of our facilitators—people from the co-op community who volunteer their time to help the new generation of co-operators have a great summer experience. Find out how to become a facilitator today!
BE A SPEAKER
Do you have expertise to share? Are you passionate about a subject that other co-ops and co-op members might benefit from? Let On Co-op know, and we'll connect you with people who need to hear what you have to say!
BECOME A CO-OP ADVOCATE
As great as the co-op sector is, people won't know about it if we don't tell them. Find out how you can spread the word about your co-op and co-ops in general!
WORK FOR A CO-OP
Co-ops are successful because of their dedicated and motivated employees. Want to be one of them? Co-ops are in every imaginable sector of the economy—which means you can probably find a job in the co-op or credit union movements in whatever field interests you! Visit our Job Postings Board to find out more!
Post a Job
The On Co-op Job Postings Board is a resource to connect co-ops with the help they need. If you are a co-op, or if your organization supports co-ops, there is no charge to have a position listed on the Board; simply send a PDF or DOC file of the job description to our Membership and Communications Manager using the information at the bottom of this page to have your position listed.
