Options for Homes
Options for Homes Non-Profit Corporation is a resource group that helps Co-operative Development Corporations build condominium homes for its members to own. Since 1993, Options for Homes has built 9 ownership housing developments which have provided new homes to over 2,000 families. Options is currently supporting the Dell Park Co-operative to build a 332-unit condominium at Bathurst St. and Lawrence Ave. W. in Toronto and the Rouge Meadow Co-operative to build a 740-unit, 6 phase condominium development featuring maisonette and townhome designs in Barrie, Ontario. Options for Homes believes that home ownership can be made available to everyone, regardless of income. Their model has been applied by several other resource groups across Ontario as well since 1993, including Montreal's Acces Condos and Options for Homes Waterloo. This organization is not a co-operative; however, it has been a supporter of On Co-op since May 2003.
