Common Ground Co-operative

Common Ground Co-operative (CGC) is a non-profit charitable organization providing business, administrative and educational support to more than 65 adults with developmental disabilities called "Partners". The Partners run five social purpose enterprises in Toronto with the assistance of an on-site Job Coach who provides professional and personal support and helps generate, maintain and increase business. The businesses are a catering company called the Lemon & Allspice Cookery and three coffee kiosks called the Coffee Shed which sell food prepared at the Lemon and Allspice Cookery located at Surrey Place Centre, The University of Toronto’s New College campus and Jewish Vocational Service Toronto. Launched in 2010, CleanABLE is the newest business where Partners provide the professional and quality cleaning of therapeutic, daycare and waiting room toys use at Surrey Place Centre to decrease the risk of spreading germs.
